Biography

Bio

Greetings,

Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Dan Sprinkles. Along with my partner, Annie Eagan, I am a Fire Keeper at the Blue Deer Center in the Catskill Mountains of NY. Prior to our move here in early 2007, we were Fire Keepers in southern Maine from 2001. We host weekly fires in order to build community connection and participation.

As a Marakame (Healer in the Huichol tradition) and a Granicero (Healer in the Nahua tradition of Weather Working), I offer healing sessions on the grounds of the Blue Deer Center and occasionally elsewhere when I travel.

Additionally, I offer a special email-based coaching program focused on getting back to a more spacious and conscious relationship with the mind. This work is called The Enemies of Learning. Particularly relevant to the EOL work, I trained as a life coach in 2000 with Julio Olalla’s group, The Newfield Network, where I first encountered The Enemies of Learning as a body of work. My sense is that the last fifteen years of working with clients and my initiation into indigenous traditions has continued to deepen my relationship to the work.

I also serve on the board of the Blue Deer Center and act as a Co-leader for the Sacred Fire Community Lifeways program’s Young Men’s Initiation and with related youth mentoring programs.
