My clients from large, medium and small organizations report that through the Leadership Coaching process, they are more empowered as leaders to navigate challenges and lead their teams. These organizations include: the Bank of Jamaica, the National Import-Export Bank of Jamaica, Victoria Mutual Building Society, Grace Kennedy Ltd, GK General Insurance, Jamaica National Building Society, Lascelles, Jamaica Competitiveness Company, Jamaica Productivity Centre, Airports Authority of Jamaica, GASPRO, Illuminat Jamaica Ltd., Jamaica Exporters’ Association, and the National Commercial Bank. I have also worked extensively with a number of charitable organizations.
I have the training and organizational experience to help my clients grow their competency and capabilities as a leader. I have been a practicing coach since 2002 and an International Coach Federation certified coach (Professional Certified Coach – PCC). As an affiliate member of the Harvard Institute of Coaching Professional Association at McLean Hospital, a Harvard Medical School affiliate, I have access to best practices in coaching, world-class coaching research and peer-reviewed journals. I am also a coach for the Newfield Asia Certified Coach Training Program in Singapore with branches in Malaysia and Indonesia. I leverage my formal training in leadership and management and my experience as a CEO with over 30 years experience in the public and private sectors including having served on the Boards of over 25 organizations. My formal training includes a BA in Economics from the University of Illinois; a Master in Public Administration from Harvard University, Boston, MA; an executive management diploma from Northwestern University, Evanston (IL); a Certificate in oil trading from Oxford University, England; and a Diploma in Ontological Coaching and Organizational Development from Newfield Network, Inc.
I am a lecturer of Transformational Leadership at the Mona School of Business, the University of the West Indies. I have also served as Executive Director of the Education Transformation Team of Jamaica; Executive Chairman of the Sugar Industry Authority of Jamaica; Managing Director of the Petroleum Corporation of Jamaica; and Managing Director of the Jamaica Commodity Trading Company.
My approach is well-grounded, engaging, and immediately applicable to professional and organizational challenges. I help you think differently about the future you want to create, design strategies to overcome individual and organizational obstacles to change, create the appropriate moods and emotions that will foster creativity and innovation, and build trust without which no meaningful change can take place.
