Joe Crownover

Joe Crownover works as Learning Advisor, Environment & Behavioral Safety. Prior to this role, Joe worked as Manager, Business Integration in Shell Learning’s Learning Strategy & Planning team, closing out the HSSE Competence Assurance Project. Joe has worked in Learning Manager roles, including for Shell’s Upstream Exploration, Commercial, Safety and Arctic and Trading & Shipping businesses. Joe has served as the connection point between human resource, line leaders and learning providers to develop core technical, commercial and leadership skills for a global businesses. During his seventeen years at Shell, Joe has worked to cultivate a learning and development culture through global onboarding processes, supervisory skill development, competence frameworks, organization effectiveness interventions and structured talent development programs. Prior to joining Shell in 2000, Joe was Director of Latin American Programs for Amigos de las Americas, where he managed youth-led voluntary health and environmental programs throughout Latin America. With a passion for helping people to achieve their potential, Joe remains active in community volunteerism, serving on boards related to youth development and education.
